Not Everyone Deserves Access to You

Just because someone can reach you doesn’t mean they should. Accessibility has been confused with obligation, and that’s where burnout begins. You don’t owe everyone your time, your energy, or your emotional labor just because they’ve known you for a while.
Access is earned through respect, consistency, and care. When you give everyone unlimited entry to your life, you end up drained and resentful...wondering why you feel so disconnected from yourself. That’s not selfishness. That’s your intuition asking for boundaries.
Protecting your energy isn’t about being cold; it’s about being selective.
Everyone doesn’t need the full version of you. Some people only deserve the summary.
